Culture Blend is a pottery business by Mika Johnson, an American ceramic artist who opened the business under the influence of Japanese culture especially the ‘’wabi-sabi’’ which is usually associated with the words ‘’perfect imperfection.’’ She began from a tiny studio and sold ceramics that featured traditional Japanese craftsmanship with contemporary stylization. Mika was able to expand the business through craft fairs and posting on social media where she got so many customers and thus expanding the business internationally. Not only does her pottery resemble Japanese-style art, but she also informs customers about Japanese traditions. Now Culture Blend is a successful brand with the mission to share Japanese culture and produce extraordinary handmade items.
