This study maps the different value chains for visual arts, performing arts, cultural heritage, artistic crafts, book publishing, music, film, TV and broadcasting, and multimedia. It also examines how digitisation affects CCS’s competitive position. From creation to consumption, new digital solutions have influenced all steps in the value chains. They have brought about new opportunities for innovative practices, new ways of interacting with audiences, and challenges such as piracy and increased pressure on existing remuneration and value-creation models.
